Swede, Laurentian- 85-90 days This cabbage relative is grown for its globe shaped roots that are creamy yellow and have a robust but sweet flavor. Roots grow 4- 5”/10-12.5cm across and have light amber skin with a purplish top. Best if timed for harvest during cool weather of fall and winter. Use in soups, stews, baked and mashed. Roots store well. Has a reputation for being one of the hardiest of all the root crops.
